Welcome to Hebrides Photos/Cankita Photos online gallery. The photos here are of mixed interest and intended for browsing but the best photos from these galleries are available as Fine Art Prints - just select the link above.

The photographer is Les Ellingham whose primary interest is landscape, particularly Scotland, but who is happy to photograph anything that inspires. Although several photos are available for purchase in the Fine Art Prints section we are happy to offer prints of any photos in these galleries that catch your eye - just drop us an email with your request via the Contact link above.

NEWS

Yorkshire Coast

Just added some good photos of the Yorkshire Coast between Whitby and Saltburn where we had some great early morning and evening light. This coast is not well known to those further south but is well worth a visit. Also managed a day in London so have added a few impressions of Regent's Park and the South Bank. These photos are not yet available on the Fine Art site but I am happy to provide prints to the usual standard. Simply enquire for details.

The Uists and Barra

My final set of photographs of the Outer Hebrides is now online and combines the usual seascapes and landscapes of the Hebrides with some close shots of sea, sand and stones all of which come together to paint a picture of these unique islands. Prints of The Uists and Barra will be available shortly but meanwhile be sure to check the Fine Art site for prints of the other islands and Skye.

Prints for Sale

I am now able to offer Fine Art Prints on selected photos either as prints only, mounted or framed. These are available to view on a seperate section of the site which, at the moment, also contains photographs not currently in this gallery. Select Fine Art Prints from the menu above.

Revised Skye Gallery

It's taking much longer than I thought to process the Hebrides photos and I am also trying to prepare selected prints for sale. I've changed the style of the captions on the new photos and have reworked those in the Skye Gallery. Looks like it will be a while before the Hebrides photos are online but I promise you it's worth waiting!
